Richard (Dick) Barfoot began trading as Barfoot Ltd in the mid 1960's having spent his formative years, since leaving school in 1950, working for Mac Fisheries and Associated Fisheries.

Originally based in London's bustling Smithfield Market Dick relocated to Bermondsey in 1992 and has been there ever since. In 2015 Dick handed day-today management of the company to his son-in-law Richard (Rick) Knowler, our Managing Director.

Dick remains a director of the company and chairman of the board. He actively maintains our long established links within the seafood industry and continues to be a popular and well respected name with traders at Billingsgate Market.

Our experienced team of senior block men take great pride in their skills delivering precision filleting and consistent portion control for any size order including high volume banqueting They are also excellent mentors for our junior members of staff, taking time to teach and inspire them in all aspects of our business.
